| \\ \\ \\ \\ {{:public:cb_mirror:files_29865_pdfto001.png?nolink&918x1188|}}\\ \\ **Testimony-12 If not now, then when?**\\ \\ Mr. Chairman, Those who oppose an Article V Convention of States oppose it out of fear. Fear\\ of a "runaway convention" or fear of getting rid of the constitution all together.\\ \\ You know what I'm afraid of? \\ \\ I am afraid of a DOJ that will become completely politicized and act at the behest\\ of one party.\\ \\ ●\\ \\ Im afraid that same DOJ would spy on and encourage prosecution of parents who \\ disagree with what their children are being taught in public school.\\ \\ ●\\ \\ Im afraid to see a President and his aides only allow government approved “fact-\\ checked” propaganda to be presented to the public.\\ \\ ●\\ \\ Im afraid of a Federal Reserve that prints Six Trillion dollars out of thin air.\\ \\ ●\\ \\ I'm afraid of vengeful DC bureaucrats accumulating power to force citizens to take an \\ experimental drug in order to serve in the military or to hold certain jobs.\\ \\ Mr. Chairman, as you know, these ARE NOT  imaginary fears. While we sit here and listen to \\ our opponents fear-monger about things that MIGHT happen, our great Constitution is being \\ trashed. To the opponents of this resolution, I ask what are you NOT afraid of about the reality \\ that surrounds you today? \\ \\ While we deal with preposterous arguments about runaway conventions, the circle of liberty is \\ growing smaller and our Treasury is being looted.  We are less free and less prosperous \\ because a nanny state will not allow us to make our own decisions and live our own lives. We \\ can’t develop energy and build pipelines. We can’t fully develop natural resources and provide \\ jobs to our citizens because a small group of elites in the deep state tell us we can’t. The feds \\ think they have the authority to shut down our economy for whatever crisis they declare. And \\ tell me again what is so scary about a COS? START being scared about what’s real and right \\ in front of your eyes!\\ \\ Only you, acting in your Constitutional role, can save this country.\\ \\ A Convention of States to propose amendments is not a dangerous or crackpot idea. It is in \\ the mainstream of Constitutional governance. It is a tool right there in your toolbox. It’s time to \\ do your duty. Advance this resolution. If not now, then when?  When do you finally \\ acknowledge enough is enough and agree to utilize the measure granted to you by the \\ Founding Fathers in Article V of the US Constitution?\\ \\  Thank You for your time.|
