This is the official Convention of States Petition. Signed by hundreds of thousands of Americans across the country, the COS Petition is a great way to spread the word about a Convention of States. It is specifically directed at state legislators who might consider sponsoring the COS application in their state legislature. This is the printable paper petition.

Article V of the U.S. Constitution \\ \\ authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention for proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. \\ \\ The Convention of States Project seeks to call an Article V convention to propose only amendments that would impose \\ \\ fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and \\ \\ members of Congress. I support this approach. I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution \\ \\ calling for this kind of Article V Convention.
