Anyone who is paying attention worries that our country is on the verge of collapse. Millions of people with common sense are tired of complaining and doing nothing. They explain that COS is a non-partisan, non-profit organization focused on using [[https://conventionofstates.com/article-v-of-the-u-s-constitution|Article V]] of the U. S. Constitution to accomplish what Congress has not been able to achieve.\\ \\ {{https://content.conventionofstates.com/cosaction-prod/public/content/images/77073/77073_original.png?|Mark Peterson}}A Convention of States would be limited to proposing amendments related to only three broad areas: restrict federal spending, limit federal power, and term limits for everyone. All states could participate but each state only gets one vote.\\ \\ When 34 states have passed resolutions to call a convention, it will be convened. Any proposed amendments must then be ratified in 38 states. Nineteen of the required 34 states have already passed the Convention of States Resolution.\\ \\ Sign our petition that goes to your state legislators and take our survey to become active in securing the next 15 needed states.
