====== The fall of American sports ======


The degradation of sports in America is not an accident. It is a concerted effort by the Prince of Darkness to undermine Americans' loyalty to the One True God.

|Have you ever seen the movie, “Woodlawn?” It chronicles a critical point in high school and college football, when the south was being desegregated, and follows the work of several football coaches who girded themselves for the battle. \\ \\ Woodlawn chronicles a monumental victory, provoked by inner integrity, will to win, and a believer who wanted to help people with the Gospel. God enabled him to lead whole high school football programs to the Lord.\\ \\ As the movie was coming to a close I realized something. American sports programs, professional and collegiate, as well as the entertainment industry, have in recent years been degraded and perverted to exalt the evil, and belittle the good. Honor, and integrity have been sacrificed on the alter of lust.\\ \\ “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Isaiah 5:20\\ \\ Our movie collection is replete with movies documenting true stories of sports accomplishments, from football, to basketball, to baseball, including Little League. One thing runs through each of these stories, the brave and humble participants teach, and are taught valuable life lessons through the principles of their sport.\\ \\ These lessons are becoming less appreciated through the degradation of our civil society, through the methods of the devil, and with the aid of an imperiled American conscience.\\ \\ “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” 1 Peter 5:8\\ \\ In resistance to the methods of evil, many Americans no longer watch professional sports, especially the NFL and NBA. Since Collin Kaepernick initiated demonstrations against America, the appetite for football has diminished for many Americans. \\ \\ I have personally attended two movies in the theatre, “Unplanned,” and “Maverick.” Why? Because these movies exemplify honor, integrity, and America.\\ \\ As, “Woodlawn” was coming to a close, I realized that the degradation of sports in America is not an accident. It is a concerted effort by the Prince of Darkness to undermine Americans' loyalty to the One True God. By destroying those institutions that foster greatness, light can be overcome by the darkness.\\ \\ “All that is needed is for good men, (and women,) to do nothing.”\\ \\ I intend to do something and I invite you, the reader, to join me.\\ \\ There are volunteer organizations full of patriotic Americans that have found ways to educate and inform themselves and their friends of the actions of the wicked and ways to challenge them.\\ \\ Some of our governors have taken principled stands against darkness in their states.\\ \\ Convention of States Action is an organization dedicated to the restoration of constitutional governance in America.
