Your calls, messages, and inquiries are keeping the Wisconsin legislature focused on restraining the federal government with the [[https://conventionofstates.com/|Convention of States]] project.\\ \\ [[https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/2021/proposals/sjr8|SJR 8]] and [[https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/2021/proposals/reg/asm/joint_resolution/ajr9|AJR 9]] have been introduced, are assigned to committees and awaiting public hearings, which will probably be soon. AJR 9 could be heard as soon as Wednesday morning, March 3, 2021 and SJR 8 sometime in March.\\ \\ We've made sure our horses are in the race. Now, attending the hearings is our focus. You can watch this [[https://committeeschedule.legis.wisconsin.gov/?committeeID=2357&viewType=List&filter=Upcoming|Assembly Committee Constitution and Ethics schedule]] for the AJR 9 hearing details and this [[https://committeeschedule.legis.wisconsin.gov/?committeeID=2275&viewType=List&filter=Upcoming|Senate Committee on Government Operations, Legal Review and Consumer Protection schedule]] for the SJR 8 hearing.  \\ \\ We don't need a lot of testimony for the Assembly hearing, just people attending and registering in favor AJR 9.\\ \\ For the Senate hearing we need brief two-minute testimonies, with no repetition, focused on how government overreach affects each of us specifically. We have experts. We need clear, respectful, adeptly-articulated support and plenty of attendees registering in favor of SJR 8.\\ \\ Please RSVP with [[https://conventionofstates.com/surveys/2021-wi-public-hearings/take|this survey]] to let us know you plan to attend.\\ \\ We don't really seem to need a lot of contact into their offices at the moment.
