|Suppose that our elite government experts determine that another round of lockdowns and quarantines are necessary for the safety of the population. An energy emergency requires that you may not heat or cool your home, and you are only allowed to drive three miles per day.\\ \\ Your children are required to keep secrets from you about beliefs that you reject.\\ \\ In order to control unlawful drug money all currency has become digital, and now the central bank controls your spending.\\ \\ {{https://content.conventionofstates.com/cosaction-prod/public/content/images/73736/73736_original.jpg?}}\\ \\ This may sound apocalyptic, but do you ever ask yourselves what the future will look like if an unopposed government is in charge of everything?\\ \\ We did not ask for the demise of electric light bulbs and gas-powered vehicles. Who did?\\ \\ How on earth do some groups motivate their activists to be so visible and passionate? That’s a question that we constantly discuss in our COS meetings. One recurring lament is that we have no one to follow up on ideas, no one to do the work. Is fear or hope the better motivator? \\ \\ **Self-governance is hard work. Self-governance means you.**\\ \\ We need people who are already on social media to post comments, memes, or links in support of term limits, fiscal responsibility, and less federal overreach. If you are on Instagram, Truth Social, Rumble, X, or any other social media, please consider joining COS as a [[https://conventionofstates.com/social_media_warrior_application%C2%A0|social media warrior]].  \\ \\ COS provides training so that volunteers are familiar with our talking points. You can assist other volunteers in making telephone calls, attending events, collecting petition signatures, and block-walking to educate citizens about Article V. We share info at veterans’ organizations, gun shows, flea markets, and lots of fun local celebrations.\\ \\ We need people who are able to stop in and say hi to their local legislators. It’s especially easy to visit them when you do not have a complaint or request. All you have to do is drop off some COS information and make sure your representatives know that we appreciate their support.\\ \\ If you prefer to stay home, consider being a Prayer Warrior or Tele-patriot. If you are sociable and love parties, review the Events Coordinator position.
